Would you agree then that the Daily Mail, Express, Sun, Telegraph and Times are bias for Brexit and the Tories.

Not a dig mate, as I said above, the news should be neutral and should just report the news.

The Daily / Mail on Sunday were different beasts Frank. Paul Dacre the former long-time Mail editor was extremely pro-brexit whereas M on S editor Geordie Greig was pro-remain and it became confusing for the readers. I think that Dacre went OTT and was consequently kicked upstairs while Greig replaced him at the Daily Mail. Greig later explained that he was only following Lord Rothermere's instructions. While the paper could be said to still be pro-Brexit it is far more critical of the Tories than before.

The Times is a pro-remain newspaper Frank. See my link and scroll down to "Cameron's migration deception" and the paragraph below it....

I didn't realise the Times supported remain in 2016. But you can't really claim they are Government bashing remain supporters now? A few posts ago you opined that remainers would approve of everything in remain supporting papers like the Mirror and the Guardian. Do you include the Times in that group?

FWIW I don't think you can have it both ways. If you think the BBC and C4 are biased you have to acknowledge that the majority of the daily national newspapers are biased in your favour.

Yet Doris' PR manager Laura K is BBC.

You cannot really believe that the BBC has a an anti tory agenda, they are bending over to be shafted by them.

The Times is a closed book Frank. Googling brings up diddly-squat. Short of buying a copy I've no idea which way it leans other than than it declared for 'remain' in 2016.

As for the BBC: I think remainer bias is plain enough what with headhunting Jess Brammar the then editor-in-chief of pro-EU HuffPost. The fact that she deleted a myriad of anti Boris/Brexit tweets in order to obtain the post speaks volumes. My link might add further weight to my argument - the first 2 lines should suffice.

As for Channel 4: Jon Snow is notorious for being anti Tory. He can't recall singing "Feck the Tories" days after the event? What sort of televison interviewer can operate successfully with such a short-term memory. The reality is he couldn't deny singing it as someone might have recorded it and proved him a liar.

Something else that might prove just how left-wing C4 is was when Canadian clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson who, among other things, has queried the rise of Neo-Marxism, made him a ideal target for the channel fourers. Kathy Newman was sent into bat but probably wished she hadn't. Shocked Shocked

Please note that the first link describes Newman's attack-dog questioning technique and how Peterson handled it right up to the "gotcha" moment.

The second link is the full interview.

The government has asked thousands of Germans residing in the UK to drive lorries to assist with the HGV shortage, even if they have never driven one before.

A letter was sent by the Department for Transport, signed by transport minister Baroness Vere, asking Germans who live in Britain to “consider returning” to the HGV driving sector.

The letter states: “Your valuable skills and experience have never been more needed than they are now.

“There are fantastic HGV driving opportunities in the logistics industry and conditions of employment have been improving across the sector. As well as attractive pay rates, we are seeing more options for flexible working, fixed hours, fixed days, full time and part time.”

German driving licences issued before 1999 include an entitlement to drive a small to medium-sized truck of up to 7.5 tonnes. It is understood that almost all Germans residing in the UK who hold such a licence have been sent the letter, almost none of whom have ever driven an HGV before.

One 41-year-old German man, who received two copies of the letter at his London home on Friday morning, one addressed to him and another for his wife, told The Independent.
“We were quite surprised,” he said. “I’m sure pay and conditions for HGV drivers have improved, but ultimately I have decided to carry on in my role at an investment bank. My wife has never driven anything larger than a Volvo, so she is also intending to decline the exciting opportunity.

“It is nice to know there are specialist jobs available here for us though after Brexit. We would never have been headhunted to drive a lorry if we’d gone back to Germany.”

The letter is part of the same mass mailout that has also asked ambulance drivers, firemen and paramedics to come and drive HGV vehicles.

Doris saves Christmas II in video shops soon.

There is a rumour that passing the cycling proficiency 2 test will be acceptable for an HGV.
