Didn't know he'd been ill,quite a shock to see this. Good player for Chelsea and Spurs, worst moment of his career must have been having a late penalty saved by Big Jim in an epic cup game against Palace at HP in 1974.Very successful management and coaching career for Palace,Barcelona,Spurs and England, would have won Euro 96 if Gazza could have stretched another two inches and Southgate could take a penalty. Never forget that little German twat mincing around Wembley after he scored the winning penalty.

great manager and character of the game he revitalised the national team when he took over and it was a shame his time in the job wasnt longer cause i feel he would have taken us further in france 98 than the zen master hoddle and his sinned in a previous life comments.

RIP El Tel

A long career in Football at the highest level and one of the better England managers. Had a slightly dodgy business venture I seem to remember but he was a colourful character. RIP El Tel!
