Shezza has been nominated for manager of the Month and Banton as player of the month-

Quote :
ARGYLE manager John Sheridan and on-loan forward Jason Banton have been nominated for the npower League 2 Manager and Player of the Month awards for March.

The Pilgrims picked up 13 points from a possible 18 last month, losing just once, to now promoted Gillingham.

Important wins home against Barnet, Fleetwood and, of course Exeter, coupled with a memorable three points away at Southend, has helped Shez edge the Pilgrims away from the npower League 2 drop zone.

Throughout this time, the influence of Jason Banton has been undeniable.

Having made just one senior appearance before arriving at Home Park in January, London-born Bants has proved an inspiration to Sheridan's side.

Goals against Gillingham, Fleetwood and Exeter throughout March have only added to his reputation as one of the divisions finest players.

In the Manager of the Month category, Shez will be up against AFC Wimbledon's Neil Ardley and Bristol Rovers' John Ward.

Meanwhile, Jason is named alongside Steve Elliot of Cheltenham Town and former Pilgrim Lee Molyneux, now plying his trade with Accrington Stanley.

The winners will be announced on Friday, April 12, with the final decision being made by two separate Football League judging panels.

The Manager of the Month award is decided by former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley, Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson, League Managers Association Deputy CEO Olaf Dixon and Katy Thomas, npower Partnerships and Sponsorships Manager.

The Player of the Month panel sees Katy Thomas joined by Wolves legend Don Goodman, BBC Sport’s Mark Clemmit and The Football League’s Head of Communications, John Nagle.

I don't think so. In March Rovers had exactly the same record as Argyle, 4 wins, one draw and one defeat, but Rovers were already on the up before then. Argyle's haul for me has been more impressive.

I'm not biased guv honestly Wink

I think I may have to slightly edge away from my earlier position on that topic Laughing

I still think he offered more than most/any of our other strikers but perhaps that's not exactly the most ringing of endorsements!
