These are obviously hard and desperate times for our needy friends and I think they need a little help on the official site so here's a little shove to help out their 'site manager' in his moment of need.

That's a real shame Jethro. I think pasoti would probably suit your passive, moderate posting style. On here, your measured approach to conflict, your relaxed attitude to alternativa perspectives and your ability to acquiesce when faced with criticism is undervalued.

The damage has been done to Pasoti and won't ever be repaired. The owner wanted it to be the official site and that comes with conditions attached, they get any news of shirt design first but don't talk about, The HHP scheme, the owners pension pot, the board structure or the make up of the board.

I think you are right Iggy, pasoti as we all knew is dead and gone and what is left is a dead web page.

A little while ago I thought that pasoti still had a chance to crawl back if newell, Posttwat and the dirty dozen or so handed over the keys to a new and trusted team but I cannot ever see that happening and if it did who on this planet would believe any of them.

It comes to something when the owner is such a Cock, he has to gag himself to prevent daily occurrences of 'foot in mouth'.

A sad demise of a once great site, and for what? A desperation to self-publicise and to exert CONTROL.

Newell has a lot to answer for.

I'd never bother going back. Quite often the breaking news is on here first. Some times its just on here.

It's all very strange.

Messageboards are essentially Fanzine 2.0 and the whole point of the Fanzine thing was to give Fans a voice as opposed to the matchday programme which, back then, was just about the only outlet a club had control over.

Pasoti wants to be both Fanzine and Programme and it just can't be because they are mutually exclusive concepts. Eventually it'll chase its own tail in ever-decreasing circles and disappear up its own fundament.

It could, of course, come clean about Newell's 3 backers (because without them Dave Gadd would NEVER have sold up to Ian. FACT.) and then we could assess exactly how independent it is.

But it won't and not even Pasoti's mods know who they are actually working for.

I can't take anything about it even vaguely seriously anymore. It's just a laughing stock.

By seeking to control Pasoti Newell has destroyed it. Sad really but there you go.

I don't know.

All I know for sure is it bugs the shit out of dear old Ian that I know so I mention it every now and then. He can half-deny it all he likes but he's lying when he does.

I was just told "3 extremely well-connected Argyle people". Ian has said a few times that I have said it is James Brent (not that I have) and that it isn't him. My best guess is Webb, Jones and Nikkk but that is a guess.

After that guess for yourself.
