Gary Ablett dies aged 46

Really cruel for someone so young to die. He had been battling cancer for a long time now. Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

A shite start to the new year, very sad.

Yeah that is sad, adds a perspective to things.

Didn't even know that he was suffering from cancer.When Dave Smith was manager,there was a strong rumour that Gary Ablett and Peter Beagrie were his summer targets,which actually would not have been beyond the realms of possibility at the time,but unfortunately the Ciderman went to Dundee before any deals were completed.Last i heard of Gary,he was manager at Stockport,very sad news,due condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad indeed. I happen to know someone who is currently battling (and thankfully winning) lymphoma.
