Cilian Sheridan is the one I always remember.

Cillian Sheridan was terrible.

After he came to Argyle I couldn't believe he came from Celtic and still had a contract of employment with them.

I'd even have said Fallon was a better player, and I was no real fan of him either.

Bizarrely I rate Brunt a lot better than both of them, and here he is two divisions below, and regarded by fans as 'your typical limited league two striker'.

I've heard that one too. It's very funny and although I don't recall the source of the story it seemed pretty koshe at the time. On reflection though it is completely unbelievable and surely the bloody things don't last for 12 months!

Yes the story was it was taken by "Disco" Dave Rowntree and it was then passed to Plympton Pilgrim who passed it to IJN to share. Ironically that wouldnt have been a bad use for the Deep Throat account, but instead he delighted in telling everyone exactly how it came about.

Pity Fletcher didn't show the same collective desire when he greedily snapped up the promotion Ridsdale offered to keep everyone under the thumb.
I personally thought, apart from his original loan period, and that goal, he was hopeless. Legs gone, continually caught napping. Warnock didn't do us a favour by selling him.Probably the worst record ever of any Argyle captain.
Of course ponderous Jimmy thought he was an outstanding individual. Talk about patronage everywhere you looked. Still the same old Argo to this day.
I'm hopeful D Adams esq is made of better stock. He appears to be so far.

Them were the days, when I was more bothered about what was going on at Home Park.

I had the picture sent to me of the Duchess of Derriford with thumbs up after Seip scored against us, which obviously needed to be given a wider audience! I sent it to Nool and asked him to post it, and when he did I made it perfectly clear on the farm that it came from me, not him, as he was a bit unsure about posting it. (His pre-controlling days I suppose).

Much later on, when he decided I was the enemy, he re-posted it saying that it was my idea and nothing to do with him - trying obviously to paint me as the bad guy. Thing was I'd said it was me at the time, and re-posted the post to prove it. He didn't like that much.

All joking aside, at the time I thought the Mpenza signing did show much more ambition than the club had ever done before. He did look a class act in the few games he did play.

But, as ever was with this football club, it didn't work out.
