As commercial interest in partnering with Argyle continues to grow, we are delighted to announce a five-year deal with a Plymouth-based, globally recognised brand - Kawasaki Precision Machinery (KPM).

As part of the comprehensive agreement with KPM, the Ernesettle-based subsidiary of the iconic Japanese brand will receive stand naming rights, with the east stand of Home Park titled the Kawasaki Barn Park End for the duration of the partnership.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries employs over 35,000 people around the globe, and generates annual revenues in excess of $15bn US dollars. The Plymouth-based branch of Kawasaki has been in operation for nearly 30 years, employing 300 members of staff on the banks of the river Tamar, with the Plymouth site engaged in the manufacture and distribution of hydraulic components.

KPM UK products are used by global brands such as JCB, Caterpillar, John Deere, Terex, and Volvo for machinery used in construction and industrial applications, with 85% of the hydraulic pumps and motors exported around the world.

Argyle’s Head of Commercial Operations, James Greenacre, said: “It is a coup for the club to secure the support of a globally recognised brand in Kawasaki, and we are delighted to have them on board.

“KPM has had a presence in our city for a long time, but it speaks to Argyle’s direction of travel, and the club’s integral values, that they have chosen now to pledge long-term support - including for our food poverty initiative, Project 35.”

Lee Crocker, Managing Director at Kawasaki Precision Machinery UK, said: “Kawasaki Precision Machinery UK is a well-established Plymouth Manufacturing business; we are fully committed to growing and expanding our operation and providing high skilled employment opportunities within the city.

“But our partnership with Argyle goes further than just advertising, we recognise our social and community responsibility and will also contribute to Argyle and Ginsters’ social action initiative, Project 35, as well as provide our employees with the opportunity to support our local football team”.

“Kawasaki is proud to be associated with Argyle as they have become a proven community asset with strong values and high credibility, and we look forward to working together over the years to come”.

hope its good money for the club i dont think it will be too long before the other 3 stands will get a sponsorship name added to its current names.

Money is great obviously but I hate the way that clubs lose their identity to big business, we should always be called Home Park, I can't be the only one who hears "The Ricoh Arena" and thinks "where the fook is that?" I suppose other fans may think the same when they hear "Home Park" yet we know, identity is important.

They can name it what they like
Mean the branding looks alright sat here looking at it.

But it will always be the barn park end
Like block 16 will always be Zoo Corner
Lyndhurst road
Etc etc

They can sell the identity if they want
But the fans know the true identity.

Even if you only come to games when we're doing well and have a premiershite team to support.

But I can see how it gets confusing specially when some music arenas change their name every other year.
