Peter Grant leaves

paid up and has had his contract terminated by the club by mutural consent to pave the way for him to sign for another club much like with Wylde.

I thought he did ok when he played in the handful of appearances i saw him play. Certainly better than others in defence at times but the deluded one obviously didnt rate him and preferred songo'o despite signing him.

Hopefully we can get rid of Wootton too.

Hope we have a decent CB lined up, we need another leader (like Bradley).

he would have had to agree to his contract being terminated which no doubt came with a pay off as the club cant sack him without reason which essentially saying contract terminated is. He was well within his rights to sit on his contract till it expired much like ainsworth i believe.

The statement below is off the clubs website, spells it out quite clear, not a settlement, a termination which Grant himself had requested, as for walking away from 6 months pay, depending on what you prefer to believe he’s not actually giving up 6 months pay as he will be getting 6 months pay from Carlisle, so he hasn’t lost bugger all, in fact according to most who post on here Argyle pay shite wages anyway so he may have actually increased his pay.

So PG reached an agreement with Argyle to terminate so he could sign elsewhere = Argyle probably didn't have to pay his remaining contract in full. Simples really!

Not sure what website your reading but I’ll copy and paste again, no mention of mutual agreement.

As for Grant requesting to terminate, the club couldn’t terminate his agreement unless he’d been a naughty boy, we can safely assume he hadn’t been, so a request to terminate would have to come from the player.

But what was the AGREEMENT? It could have been a million pound settlement or it could have been walk away with feck all. AGREEMENT covers all eventualities.

The agreement is the club agreeing with the player’s request to terminate the contract, the reason for the termination would be “sporting just cause” , if the player didn’t get the clubs agreement and just walked away the club would be entitled to compensation from the player.

Could be 50% of his 6 months remaining contract.....which would mean he is probably in pocket seeing that Carlisle will be employing him from then onwards.

Obviously its mutual then you dumb feck, a player can't just piss off as and when he wants, thats how contracts work. It was in both parties interests.  

Fact is, unless you are actually to party to any of these discussions, you dont know. Either produce evidence rather than interpretaion based on your servile way of thinking, you ought to pipe the feck down.
