Two weeks to flatten the curve. It was two weeks , two years ago, ffs Yesterday Ferguson said 5000 a day may die. Today it's just a mild illness
Ferguson has been disastrously wrong on every prediction he's made since the start of the pandemic. Ignore ANYTHING this utter plank says. How the feck does someone like that twot get a professorship? Noticeable that the gurrole BBC had him as their headline speaker on the news yesterday-so typical of the media coverage of this nonsense, just worst case scenario scaremongering with no alternative opinions or analysis of the damage this is causing in other areas. Very surprised that the public has tolerated this for so long although the tide thankfully seems to be turning now. It's like Brexit's project fear all over again it's getting fookin tedious now. The trouble is with all the politicisation of Covid it is becoming more and more difficult to distinguish between real news and made up news to deflect from the latest scandal. |

The more ludicrous that planks like Proff Ferguson get with their absolutely worse ever case scenarios - the bigger the distraction is from the utter basket case that is our current leader and his sinking shit-show of daily shenanigans. Even buffoons, and believe me, I'm a 1st class, weapons grade twat, like me, can see right through this utter shit-show now. |

| The beginning of this I was terrified of it like they wanted us to be.
Now I'm respectful of it cause it's obviously there. Still do the mask thing etc out of respect But just think we need to learn to live with it.
Actually get on with our lives, instead of being in fear of being locked up , or blackmailed. If your priorities are Christmas, don't go to football , we had a healthy crowd that didn't listen to them yesterday.
Most of us have our 3 jabs now, ffs let's get on with it. |

| Another UK research team counter the other UK research team who stated Omicron was no less severe. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]There is way too much conflicting evidence circulating both from government and the scientific community. Is it any wonder that folk haven't got the foggiest what is going on. |

| In the space of 3 weeks and one day , Omicron cases have gone from 2 to 37,101.
104 people are now in hospital - it was 65 this morning - and sadly there have been 12 deaths.
Those are frightening figures and show how fast this variant is spreading. |

Those are frightening figures and show how fast this variant is spreading. Eighty per cent of them will be unvaccinated and it's not like they haven't been told of the dangers the others are like Jethro old and or very sick already. Let's not forget in an average month approx 8500 people in the UK die of disease and old age. |

| Actually it's more like ,8500 a week. From the ONS.
In October 2021, there were 43,435 deaths registered in England, 2,883 deaths (7.1%) more than the October five-year average (2015 to 2019); there were 2,993 deaths registered in Wales, 259 deaths (9.5%) more than the October average. The leading cause of death in October 2021 was dementia and Alzheimer's disease in England (accounting for 11.3% of all deaths) and ischaemic heart diseases in Wales (10.6% of all deaths). Coronavirus (COVID-19) was the third leading cause of death in October 2021, in both England (accounting for 5.6% of all deaths) and Wales (accounting for 9.5% of all deaths). Taking into account the population size and age structure, the age-standardised mortality rate (ASMR) for deaths due to COVID-19 in England decreased significantly to 50.8 deaths per 100,000 people, the first decrease since May 2021; the ASMR for deaths due to COVID-19 in Wales was 97.6 deaths per 100,000 people, this was higher than September 2021 but was not statistically significant. Yorkshire and The Humber was the English region with the highest ASMR for deaths due to COVID-19 in October 2021 (72.4 deaths per 100,000 people). In Quarter 3 (July to Sept), Diabetes was the most common pre-existing condition mentioned on death certificates for deaths due to COVID-19 (22.5% of all deaths due to COVID-1

Don't they have to vote on it, Could make things look dodgy for Johnson if more rebels arrive and he only gets it through cause of labour. |

If you can't beat them scare them. And yet back at the end of October virtually every modelling prediction said that Covid cases in the UK would decrease all through November and we could be down to as little as 5,000 cases a day at Christmas. That was hardly worse case scenario predicting. The biggest worry is they got that optimistic forcast totally wrong - this was before anyone had heard of Omicron. Now of course Omicron legitimately throws those predictions into the ether. But the fact they got it so badly wrong prior to Omicron, does their modelling credibility no good whatsoever. |

| At the end of the day it isn't deaths that are the problem now but how many NHS staff end up off work either with Covid or self isolating, according to my BIL who works in theatre they already have loads of staff off in Derrifird. |
