Kevin Kilbane was in the studio. When talking about preseason he said 'if pre-season goes badly, the manager will always say that it's about fitness.' Twisted Evil  He's just blown Argo's pre-season cover.

Tony Pulis is at the Exeter game, he mentioned how having been out of work this summer he's been down in Plymouth for a bit, meeting up with some people he knew when he was down here. He's still got a connection to the area if he ever needs work...

I remember when Pulis left he gave a good and frank interview which i think can be found somewhere on greens on screen, if not it was in the Herald where he alluded to the lack of vision and ambition shown by the club as one of his primary reasons for leaving.
Somehow i do not think he would be impressed with Sahib Brent and his Odious entourage to hang around very long.
Maybe if we had an owner with vision and class.................................one can only dream.

R5 Commentary at Sid James Park (Exeter 1v0 down after 30s) has mentioned that the pre match warm up 'involved a piglet'! The mind boggles! Has a certain someone crossed the Devon divide? pig

It's true that managers can use pre-season matches to guage players fitness but that's about as far as it goes. Some teams may even play shit in pre-season because they have unfit players while other teams just have shit players full stop. And managers will say it's about fitness for public consumption but you can bet they tear the heads off players in private for playing shite. But fans who seriously think that teams go out to purposely play shit and lose just because it's about fitness are seriously deluded - like a lot of Argyle fans seem to be. The fact that the shit 'perfamances' ALWAYS carry on into the season doesn't seem to shake them from their deluded viewpoint either.

Pullis was a top manager for us and kept us up when everything looked doomed.

The football was some of the most boring i've seen in many years but he did the job.
