The end of the world hasn't happened
But another occurrence is here
It seems to get worse as time goes on
But it's always at this time of year

For most of the time, three meals is enough
Per day, to keep us alive
Yet late in December it seems that it's not
Sufficient to help us all thrive

Instead we must all crowd into the shops
And jostle and argue and swear
And buy tonnes of food and gallons of drink
In case we run out when the shops are closed for one day.

Dedicated to all those lovely people who can't bring themselves to let an elderly lady in a wheelchair get her shopping in without being bumped and tutted at because it's so much more important that they get to stuff their fat faces with ever more shit. Ignorant, selfish bastards.

Still alive,
The world hasn't ended,
I'll drink to that.

It's raining now
'twill rain tomorrow.
Does this mean Xmas
Will be filled with sorrow?
Or will Santa's reindeer
Pull a boat
Up the Tamar?
We can but hope.

God you bastards it's Friday and late!
Is there conspiracy to this thread castrate?
To end the rhyming and to suffocate
The one thing about Argyle I just cannot slate

I'll always be, so damn proudly, FPT, on ATD.......

Another week has passed,
usual shiz on 'A' 'T' 'D'.
the evidence amassed
stacking up against Porkie

A rant, a slur, insane
I'll never understand fully
where he gets the kicks?
why he's such a bully?

I'm missing some insights
From the insightful
Pegs, Penz and a Symons
Plus anyone who's rightful

I played 5aside last night
we lost against top of the league
I've somehow hurt my finger
hurts more than you'll believe

Cant wait for the fookin weekend
I'm working tomorrow too
Sunday will be a Godsend
I'll sleep like a kangaroo

Excellent, one of the best yet
Do not think I will forget
This valiant effort by Mock C
Certainly hits the spot for me

Morecambe at home, a need to be wise
Must take all our chances when they doth arise.
Sheridan's here, a slice of Home Park heaven?
He'd still get in the team - at forty seven!

Chadwit The Nickwick is banned
for an assault that looked rather planned
straight from the start
he's shitter than fart
how he's professional I'll never understand

"The time has come, "the Avivas' said,

"To talk of many things :

Of pasties -- and pints-- and Avivafests--

Of legends n murals -- and kings --

And why the club has gone to pot --

And whether pigs have wings. "

A good way to spend a Friday
Is to sit and watch England play
In India where it's hot
From Plympton where it's not

Fear for our bowlers, with a total this high
it 'should' be a given that we'll win this tie
our bowlers are shit, and even tho he's no Jonty
I wish we'd pick our best bowler, that's right - where's Monty?!

More often than not the ball goes ping
From the bat of Yuvraj Singh
He doesn't like pace there is no doubt
So bowl them short and bounce him out!

Pilgrims in peril the Shrimps about to attack,
We need a new Green hero to force the northeners back,
Fear not the danger of another division down,
We have a potential saviour who will turn it all around,

Time to unleash the mighty Sheridan.

Friday at last, huzzah huzzah
Hoping the Fed wipes the floor with Muzza
Out tonight avoiding trouble an rozzers
will come back drunk, and mock the PASOTI tozzers

The worst thing of the weekend-Saturday
Accrington away, who are they?
I'd delve into them and their historaaay
At least I would if they had any

Mock's a gem
to keep this thread going.
Ignoring them
who'd watch it die laughing.

Peggy has her own thread
she called it "Mundane".
I propose at this one's head
should lie Mock's inspirational name.

In generations to come
this thread will be studied
by students of literature
though its past will be muddied.

They'll say 't was the best
the century's poets could write.
There'll be pilgrimages to
our graves cos we gave such delight.

Mock is our Poet Laureate, dontchknow.
Into the role he appeareth to grow.
I recognised his talent long ago
And upon him the title I did bestow.

Little w@nker.
