Plea from the Minerva pub after so called fans trash it this evening

I frequent the Minerva on the Barbican quite frequently. It's a fantastic olde worlde pub with a fantastic friendly atmosphere. My second watering hole after the Fortescue.

Imagine my dismay at seeing a Facebook post by the Minerva saying that it has been trashed this evening by football supporters.  I'm not casting aspersions yet, but it's not yet known if it was home or away fans.

If anyone has any information, please pm me so I can pass it back to the landlord who in turn can pass it onto the authorities.

Update: sad to say it WAS Argyle fans. FFS. There were about 20 LO fans just having a drink minding their own business when a young lady came into the pub and asked the group of fans if they were Leyton fans. They said they were, she walked out and then about 20 or so complete cuunts ran into to the pub attacking them and trashing the pub at the same time.

This Fooking club has a shameful hooligan problem and it needs sorting out.

Actually its not the same at all, trouble against Millwall, then trouble against Exeter and now this

Jackson done this long before he even knew who Exeter City (pride of Devon) were, you're club is known for trouble makers, take a look at the videos of argyle fans looking for trouble outside the ground

Yes i agree its a small number but the local rag reading public will see argyle and fans and that is all it takes

My knowledge of hooliganism is tiny but I always thought it was the away hooligans that attack a pub that the home fans are in, not the home hooligans attacking a pub in their own city.

Even our hooligan firm is small time and village.

To be a 'hooligan' you clearly have to be the stupidest type of moron possible.  But now it seems no other clubs hooligans are as thick, retarded, moronic and stupid as Argo hooligans.  Justice would have been the Leyton Orient lads giving these peices of shit a kicking of a life time.

Not necessarily, they will attack rival fans in any pub, including one of their own.

Anyone who witnessed chairs, bricks and fire extinguishers going through the Two Trees from memory when Leeds visited in the late 90's (6-3 game I think) you would know they fight anywhere. Having said that when bloodied Leeds fans came charging out you should have seen Swilly's finest run.

We tend to breed cowardly gobshites who like to hide away behind police escorts when they go to somewhere like Pompey and then attack 20 real ale drinkers having a quiet beer.

Just read the Herald story, as a regular usually after games I feel very angry at this. The Minerva is a welcoming and friendly pub at all times. Martin and Shelly run a gret pub and they are dedicated to keeping it 'real'. In fact Martin is a fanatical Argyle supporter and attends every home game, I always look forward to our post match all things Argyle chats.
Clearly the club now has a consistent hooligan problem, given the recent Millwall and Lyndhurst violence. Really hope the club contact the Orient supporters club and pass on their thanks for the actions of the Orient fans in the pub at the time and disgust at so called Argyle fans.
Am down in Plymouth tomorrow and will drop in (if the Minerva is open) and offer my support to them.

I'm thinking of installing CCTV in my front room and conservatoire. Probably leave the kitchen camera free though. It's all the rage these days.

By the sounds of it they aren't bright enough to have given thought to hiding their identity. The fact one of them dropped his key meter card type thing pretty much gives a telling insight.
